Vioxx Complications

Vioxx has been prescribed for many years by doctors to help patients in reducing inflammation and to treat arthritis, in the foot, the leg, or anywhere in the body.

On September 30, 2004, Merck (the make of Vioxx) announced that it would immediately withdraw Vioxx from the market.

Apparently, a study by Merck concluded that use of Vioxx showed an increased risk of stroke or heart attack.

If you, or a loved one has suffered a stroke, a heart attack, or other MAJOR medical complication while taking Vioxx, your medical records should be reviewed to determine whether or not the Vioxx was a contributing factor in the stroke, heart attack, or other major medical complication.
