Cipro And Anthrax

Due to current events since September 11, 2001 and the Anthrax scare, many people have been stockpiling and taking the antibiotic Cipro.

Cipro and similar antibiotics are being designated as drugs of choice for treatment of Anthrax infection or Anthrax exposure.

These drugs are not harmless drugs and they do have potential adverse side effects.

For example, Cipro has been known to cause rupture of the Achilles tendon. Such a tendon rupture can produce debilitating effects.

Long term or inappropriate use of Cipro, may in certain circumstances, constitute medical negligence.

We are interested in hearing from patients who have undergone cipro and similar antibiotic treatment and who have had major complications. Please use our contact page to advise us of such complications, so that we may post the same on this page. Thank you.
